Canvas / Resolve course invitations not sent or received

Objective

  • To provide troubleshooting tips on sending or receiving Canvas course invitations when:
    • You added students to a course site, but the invitations were not sent
    • You did not receive your Canvas course invitation

Resolution

Canvas Instructor

  • Verify that student email address(es) and UniqueID(s) are spelled and entered correctly
    • If not, re-add your students using the correct email address and UniqueID for each

 

Canvas Student

  1. If you already have a Canvas account, log into Canvas and check your dashboard for the course invite
  2. Check your spam mail for any invite from Canvas
  3. Contact your instructor or site administrator to verify that your email address was entered in correctly
