Procedure
In Google Drive
- Upload classroom image folders to Knowledge Base: ClassTech Drive
- Select high-quality images
- Rename photos specifically
- Example: ALU200 Short Projector; BAC158 Classroom Front
- Right-click on the image, go to View Details, and type the new image name into the description
- Right-click on the image again, select Get Sharable Link, and turn on link sharing
In the Knowledge Base
- Open ClassTech KB category (MiamiOH.edu/ClassTech)
- Select appropriate building, then room
- Click Edit Article
- Scroll down to Note and place your cursor above it
- If necessary, copy/paste the templated Classroom Images header and copy (below) in the space
- Create one bullet for every photo you want to add to the article
- Delete any template copy that you don't need
- Go to Knowledge Base: ClassTech Drive and copy the sharable link to the photo you want to add
- Highlight the appropriate line of text, then click the link tool () in the toolbar
- Paste the image link into the URL box
- In the link tool, click the Target tab and select New Window from the drop-down
- Repeat for each image added
- After last link is added, hit enter twice to break the bullet formatting
- Save! Save! Always save your work!
- Go to the Settings tab, scroll down to Functional Support — make sure only Self Service is checked
- Save!
- Exit to to the published article and double-check to make sure all image links are functional
