Introduction

Emergency notification provides services to the university community via cell phone, text messages, and email. The Miami Emergency Text Messaging System will be available to Miami University students, faculty, and staff on all three Ohio campuses.

Alertus Exemptions
IT Services and divisional IT staff may use this form to request that Windows and Mac OS devices be exempted from Alertus desktop notifications. Alertus is a software package that is installed on university owned and managed machines that allows for full-screen broadcasts of emergency messaging.
Enroll in Nixle
The Oxford Police Department, Oxford Township Police Department and Butler County (OH) Sheriff's Office use Nixle to distribute important information regarding incidents in the community, including traffic and weather alerts affecting the Oxford, OH area.
Enroll or update in OmniAlert
Miami University has contracted with Omnilert (e2Campus) to provide emergency notification services to the university community via cell phone text messages and email.
